On Austin Avenue in Coquitlam, a vibrant streetscape revitalization project is bringing a fresh look to the community. As part of this initiative, Iron Age Manufacturing Ltd. is proud to have designed and fabricated a series of custom benches featuring the word heights — a nod to the local neighborhood identity.
The “Heights” benches are more than just places to sit. They combine durable steel frames, natural wood seating, and colorful perforated panels to create functional seating that doubles as urban art.
Each bench incorporates bold colors such as teal, orange, and pink to reflect the area’s energy.
The perforated panels spell out heights, turning the benches into a landmark and a visual statement along Austin Avenue.
Designed for both comfort and durability, these benches are built to withstand the West Coast climate while adding character to the streetscape.
This project was part of the City of Coquitlam’s “Retro Meets Modern on Austin Avenue” revitalization initiative. Working closely with the city, Iron Age ensured every detail met municipal standards while delivering a unique, modern design that resonates with the community.
